World Cup 2022 Argentina vs. Netherlands Live Streaming

The Netherlands and Argentina meet again in a win-or-go-home match when they square off in a quarterfinal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Al Daayen, Qatar. The teams last met in the 2014 World Cup semifinals, a match that ended 0-0 after extra time and was won by Argentina on penalties. Lionel Messi is trying to cap his international career with the ultimate glory after earning his first major trophy for the national team at the 2021 Copa America. Argentina won Group C before defeating Australia 2-1 on Saturday, while the Netherlands defeated the USMNT after winning Group A. Argentina have won the World Cup twice (1978 and 1986) and lost in the final twice, including 1-0 to Germany in 2014. The Dutch missed the 2018 World Cup but were third in 2014 and finished as runners-up for the third time in 2010.

FIFA World Cup 2022 Japan vs Croatia prediction live-streaming

FIFA World Cup 2022 Japan vs Croatia prediction live-streaming

The World Cup's surprise darkhorses Japan will strive to create further history, but Croatia’s golden generation stand in their way.

After taking down two former champions, giant killers Japan will be eager to pull off another stunning scalp at the tournament when they face Croatia in Monday's round of 16 clash at the Al Janoub Stadium. Croatia’s experienced stars will have other plans as they look to make sure they have their say in proceedings.

Having been drawn into this year's so-called "Group of Death" alongside historical powerhouses Germany and Spain, not many people saw Japan making it to the knockout rounds.

However, Hajime Moriyasu's second-half specialists didn't only manage to do just that, but better it by topping the group, beating both of the giants in the process despite trailing at half time in both games.

FIFA World Cup 2022 England vs Senegal prediction live-streaming

FIFA World Cup 2022 England vs Senegal prediction live-streaming

FIFA World Cup 2022 England vs Senegal prediction live-streaming

England and Senegal, two teams who have shown intent in scoring in the group stage, will square off in the Round of 16. This is anticipated to be one of the most interesting ones to watch in the knockout stages as the Three Lions face off against the Lions of Teranga.

Overview

England scored nine goals in three matches in the group stage, showing great quality to score. Six out of their nine goals came against Iran and three against Wales. The England vs USA match ended in a goalless draw. Senegal triumphed against Qatar and Ecuador after the opening match of the campaign against the Netherlands 0-2.

England

As England face the African champions, things won’t be easy. They won the tournament only once in 1966. Since then, they have not managed to even reach the finals, which is odd for a prominent team like England. They finished fourth at FIFA 2018 in Russia, having been beaten to Croatia in the semis and to Belgium in the third-position match. This time, however, they are riding strong on scoring prowess. Scoring six goals against Iran and three against Wales were not easy even though a goalless draw against the USA was a little disappointing for the fans.

Senegal

Senegal will be aware that, if they defeat England, it would be their first time to win three games in a single world cup. This is their third appearance in a world cup, and they look impressive this time. They do not depend on any particular player as five of them have scored in this tournament so far. Their 2-1 victory against Ecuador was especially impressive. They will prepare to shock many as they lock horns with the European squad.

World Cup 2022 QATAR : France vs Poland

Preview: France vs. Poland - prediction, team news, lineups:
Two teams who ended their World Cup 2022 group-stage campaigns with defeat prepare for battle in Sunday's last-16 clash at the Al-Thumama Stadium as reigning champions France take on Poland.
Les Bleus finished first in Group D to make it through to the knockout rounds, while Czeslaw Michniewicz's men set up a tie with the holders after placing second in Group C.
Having become the first manager to lead his side through to the knockout rounds of the 2022 World Cup, France coach Didier Deschamps was not afraid to ring the changes for Les Bleus' final Group D showdown with Tunisia, but a second-string side could not remain perfect in Qatar.
With the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann all kept in reserve, Tunisia took advantage and drew first blood through Wahbi Khazri in the 58th minute, although Griezmann thought that he had levelled the scores right at the death.

Argentina vs Australia: Predicted lineup

La Albiceleste and the Socceroo's confront in the Round of 16 Tonight at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.

Argentina is now in its stride and came to its senses against Poland in the World Cup 2022, ruling the game from start to finish. They would have scored more goals if it hadn’t been for Wojciech Szczesny. Despite missing the penalty, Messi was excellent, as he created numerous chances and the entire squad delivered and did the deed.

Australia will not fear any team; after losing to France, they clawed back and won back-to-back matches. Australia appears to be energetic in their match and is going against the third-ranked team in FIFA. There have already been numerous upsets, and Asian giants want to be on the list as they attempt to knock Argentina out of the knockout stage.

Argentina

Enzo Fernandez helped keep Argentina’s midfield flexible and stable against Poland and also registered an assist, his presence permitted Messi to start up front as he dominated the Argentina games, and now he will again remain a steady reinforcement from midfield against Australia.

Australia

Duke had been outstanding in the match; his key goal against Tunisia allowed the Kangaroos to advance to the following round, where they defeated Denmark. On the left wing, he is a joy to watch, and the 31-year-old has been decisive in all of the games in which his contribution has assisted Australia remain in contention, and he will be prepared to bring against Australia.

Injury and team news

Lionel Scalene has changed his team for all three group games in order to establish a suitable balance for the squad. It appears that he may change the team again against Australia, and Di Maria, who suffered muscle strain, was subbed off and is doubtful for the encounter against Australia, while the rest of the team is unscathed.

There are no injury concerns, thus head coach Arnold will announce a strong side for their historic encounter against Argentina. Martin Boyle was forced to withdraw due to a knee injury, however, the player remained in Qatar on crutches.

World Cup 2022 QATAR : Netherlands VS USA

World Cup 2022 QATAR : Netherlands VS USA

FIFA ranking. Netherlands 8, USA 16

The first match of the World Cup’s knockout phase will pit the Netherlands against the USA at the Khalifa International Stadium on Saturday, with the European side seeking to affirm their credentials as serious challengers in Qatar.

There has been much talk – mostly from the Dutch camp – of the team’s potential to go all the way in the tournament.

Louis van Gaal’s side topped Group A, picking up seven points with 2-0 wins over Senegal and Qatar to go alongside a 1-1 draw against Ecuador.

But despite going unbeaten, the Netherlands’ three performances so far left plenty to be desired with a number of key players yet to fully fire and the side heavily reliant on goals from the in-form Cody Gakpo.

That will offer hope to the Americans, who will be the underdogs but have already offered up some proof of their own potential in an unbeaten run in Group B which saw them secure 0-0 and 1-1 draws against England and Wales respectively and a gritty 1-0 win over Iran to ensure their progress.

USA sweat on Pulisic fitness

While the USA sweat on the fitness of star player Christian Pulisic – he has a pelvic injury and is being assessed daily – coach Gregg Berhalter said his team would have no inferiority complex.

“It’s a great opportunity, but it’s not something that we’re going into it thinking is an honour ,” Berhalter said. “We deserve to be in the position we’re in. And we want to keep going. We don’t want to be going home on Saturday.

“And from here anything can happen. All we need to do is play one game at a time. There’s no need to even project how far this team can go,” added Berhalter, who has an intimate knowledge of Dutch football. The 49-year-old played in the Dutch league for three different clubs between 1996 and 2000.

For the Netherlands, the key will be to get Memphis Depay flying in attack and Frenkie de Jong on the ball in midfield.

Australia vs. Denmark final score, FIFA World Cup 2022 QATAR: Socceroo's qualify for the round of 16 after shock win :

After a surprisingly strong group stage, Australia advance and will play in the Round of 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup after beating 1-0 Denmark in the final match of the group. Australia will play in the knockout stage for the first time since 2006, when they lost against Italy after a decisive and much discussed penalty kick scored by Francesco Totti in the last minute of the game. Denmark lost and ended last in the group after a very disappointing World Cup campaign.

Australia will play against the winner of Group C that will play later at 2 p.m. ET when Argentina will face Poland, while Mexico will play against Saudi Arabia and everything is still open.

Mexico vs. Saudi Arabia: El Tri eliminated from FIFA World Cup before knockouts for first time since 1978

Mexico vs. Saudi Arabia: El Tri eliminated from FIFA World Cup before knockouts for first time since 1978:

Mexico's World Cup journey came to a close on Wednesday after 2-1 win against Saudi Arabia was not enough to see El Tri through to the knockout rounds for an eighth consecutive World Cup. Mexico's attack finally started to click in the final match day of the group stage with goals by Henry Martin and Luis Chavez, but Saudi Arabia snuffed the candle out on Mexico's hope with a late game stoppage time goal from Salem Aldawsari.

The two teams entered the final group match with must win scenarios in place for the match. All four teams in Group C were alive coming into the match and while some unlikely situations might have allowed Saudi Arabia to progress with a draw, for Mexico a win was an absolute must if they wanted to catch Poland or Argentina. Mexico's struggles in front of goal all tournament boiled over in the deciding group match, and Saudi Arabia's slipping hopes of reaching the knockout rounds provided a frantic final game.

Mexico were mainly on the front foot during the opening half of the game, but production in the final third remained a missing factor. El Tri closed out the first half with 11 total shots and three attempts on target. But the score remained 0-0. That scoreless opening 45 minutes led to even more chaos within the second half.

Early adjustments were made by both teams at halftime and Mexico's manager Tata Martino opted to bring on Uriel Antuna for Alexis Vega. The added striker allowed Mexico to keep the pressure on Saudi Arabia and an early corner kick led to an exciting breakthrough on goal in the 47th minute.

Just five minutes later Mexico added another goal on a set piece. The moment brought to life with a free kick opportunity taken by Luis Chavez. The added goal gave Mexico a chance to advance if they were able to score a third goal.
More set piece opportunities, scrambling bodies in the box, and a breakthrough by Edson Alvarez that was ruled offside felt like a historic moment would eventually be celebrated. Player rotation for Mexico provided  fresh legs for the team to continue a relentless pursuit of a third goal that ultimately never arrived. The missed chances left just enough time for Saudi Arabia's Salem Aldawsari to deliver the final swing of the sword, ending Mexico's pursuit of what would have been a miracle advancement.

Tata Martino out as Mexico coach after World Cup elimination: three things El Tri must change as 2026 co-hosts

Tata Martino out as Mexico coach after World Cup elimination three things El Tri must change as 2026 co-hosts:

El Tri will be co-hosts of the 2026 World Cup and they need to make changes before the event

Mexico made history in the 2022 FIFA World Cup after they failed to make it out of the group stage for the first time since 1978. Having El Tri in the round of 16 has been a World Cup staple. The streak of seven consecutive round of 16 appearances is snapped and the 2026 co-hosts head home early for the first time in decades.

The 2-1 win against Saudi Arabia provided little solace in the form scoring, as the 2022 squad left it to the last 45 minutes of the group stage to avoid going home with no goals at a World Cup.

Henry Martin and Luis Chavez made sure that wasn't the case for El Tri on their final matchday, but the effort was simply too little and too late with permutations that favored them to advance out of the group practically few and far between. Now with their World Cup journey over, the Mexican federation needs to look ahead and figure out how this nation can regain relevance once more in this modern era of football ahead of pivotal cycle that sees them welcoming the rest of the globe as tournament co-hosts for 2026.

World Cup scores: Mexico eliminated on goal difference as Argentina and Poland advance from Group C

With Group A and Group B in the books, Leo Messi and Argentina are moving on into the knockout rounds. Argentina defeated Poland 2-0, while Mexico's 2-1 win against Saudi Arabia was not enough to help them advance. For much of the match it looked like the fair play tiebreaker would be the deciding factor with Mexico and Poland equal on points, goal differential and goals scored, but a late Saudi Arabia goal sealed the deal and dropped Mexico behind Poland. Mexico failed to reach the knockout rounds for the first time since 1978. Poland are through to the final 16 on better goal differential.

Before that,, Tunisia won 1-0 against France while Australia won 1-0 against Denmark. France, despite losing the match, will advance after winning the group stage while Australia managed to win and will play again in the Round of 16 of the World Cup for the first time since 2006, and only the second time in their history. Denmark ended up last in the group after a very disappointing campaign.

Argentina coast past Poland 2-0 to top World Cup Group C

Argentina coast past Poland 2-0 to top World Cup Group C

 |30 Nov 2022

Argentina coasted past Poland in a 2-0 victory on Wednesday night to top Group C and confirm their place in the last 16 of the World Cup, signalling a return to form for the South American giants after a poor start to this year’s tournament.

Alexis Mac Allister and Julian Alvarez’s second-half goals capped a dominant display by coach Lionel Scaloni’s charges at Stadium 974, which was packed to the rafters with tens of thousands of raucous Argentine supporters, to set up a clash with Australia on Saturday.

After a goalless first 45 minutes, Mac Allister got on the end of Nahuel Molina’s cross just one minute into the second period and, despite making weak contact, he saw his shot creep over the line with Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny beaten.

The second goal was the result of patient buildup play which saw Argentina shift the ball around before Enzo Fernandez made a defence-splitting pass for Julian Alvarez, who found space in the box and smashed it into the top corner to effectively kill the game in the 67th minute.

Poland were lifeless throughout but managed to also squeeze through to the knockout phase on goal difference at the expense of Mexico, who beat Saudi Arabia 2-1 in Group C’s other match-up.
